SUMMER FAIR 2011

As you've probably heard by now, the Summer Fair raised a HUGE £8,500, which is absolutely fantastic (and even more amazing when you think of the weather we had!).

Thanks to all involved, especially the Summer Fair Team of Kirsty Robertson, Nuala Acres, Carolyn Earle Ledger, Tracey Guille, Helen Ayscough, Alex Armstrong, Karen Curtis, Mandy Weekes and Cathy Hicks who all worked so hard to make the event such a success.

So, a big thanks to them, to everyone who put an hour in on the day, help set up or clear away, who donated items for prizes or to sell, and just about everyone who braved the weather to come along and enjoy the event!

What Events Do We Organise?

The events that we run are always up for discussion, and we encourage new ideas! Come along to the next BPTA meeting to share ideas or see how you can help out. Our events fall into 3 categories:

  • they provide a service to parents (uniform sale)
  • they are fun activities for the children (Easter event) and parents (summer ball,  quiz night)
  • they are fundraisers which help us to support capital projects and provide new            equipment for the school

Autumn Term

Late Summer Ball (totally grown up event for parents)

MacMillan Coffee Afternoon (make a cake, buy some cake, drink some tea, come along, have a chat, help a charity!)

Uniform & Cake Sale (donate outgrown uniform, donate a cake or biscuits, come  along and spend some pennies. It all goes back to the school)

Christmas Fair and Raffle (hugely popular with children, parents, local people. Great things to buy, raffle prizes up for grabs, mulled wine, mince pies, the works!)

Spring Term

New Year Disco

Quiz Night (always a sell-out and a very fun evening)

Easter Event (egg hunts, Easter games, a fun afternoon for the children)

Sponsored Swim

Summer Fair and Raffle (The biggest event in the BPTA calendar. Games, food, things to buy, great prizes to be won. Looking for volunteers right now)
